About us

After adopting our two abandoned kitties (Billy & Benny), each cat scratcher we bought for them made our small and open plan living space look and feel disconnected. I searched high and low for a cat scratcher that actually looked good - and that wasn’t novelty or an eyesore - and suited my home aesthetic. I soon discovered consumers had very few styles to choose from. Not only did they have to sacrifice on style, they had to sacrifice on quality and longevity too. Due to cheap mass production and the use of non-recyclable materials (glue, carpet, plywood), a majority of cat scratchers end up in landfill.

With consumer choice and good quality design in mind, the Aestheticat cat scratcher was born. A fully reusable cat scratching post that looks good in any home, stands the test of time and cares for the environment. 

Aestheticat’s mission is to revolutionise the cat furniture market, by offering life-long products that are as much about the home as they are the cat.
