To clean your Aestheticat cat scratching post, simply use warm water with a drop of gentle washing up liquid. Use a non-abrasive cloth to wipe the wood. For minor scuffs or marks, use a magic eraser sponge - rub lightly. To remove dust and/or cat fur from the cotton cord or sisal, use a handheld vacuum on a low setting, or a lint remover.

This will vary depending on frequency of use, including how many cats you have. On average, in a one cat household, you will re-loop every 4-7 months. You can purchase refills on our website.

Our cat scratchers are designed using a tie and notch design, which makes it quick and easy to re-loop once the cord or sisal starts to fray and look tatty. Head to our Instagram page for video tutorials, tips and ‘how-to’s’.

Aestheticat is an e-commerce store and we currently only sell online. You don’t need to be good at DIY to re-loop our scratching posts. Our tie and notch design ensures the task is straightforward and easy to do with one person and without any extra materials (you’ll need a pair of scissors). Head to our Instagram page for tutorials, tips and ‘how to’s’. If you can’t spare 20 minutes, ask a crafty friend… think friends who knit, cross-stitch, or love putting flat pack together!

We currently sell and ship within Australia only. If you live outside Australia and you’d like to purchase one of our products, please provide feedback via the Contact us form so we can notify you of changes.

Your Aestheticat cat scratching post comes disassembled in two parts: base and pillar. You will need a hex/Allen key to screw the two parts together, which is quick and easy ~2 mins. You will find the screw inside your the delivery. 1. Insert the screw into the bottom of the base and turn with the hex key until it appears through the face up side. 2. Place pillar on its side (on your lap, or on a towel or other soft surface). 3. Place the screw that’s coming through the base into the pillar (you may find it easier to place the pillar onto the screw). Screw until nearly tight. 4. Manoeuvre the pillar to your liking so that it’s either straight on - square on square with the pillar - or twisted slightly like a ‘diamond’. Try and manoeuvre so the knots are on the opposite side to the logo.
